Welcome to the Govan Citadel Band web pages. It is hoped that these pages will be informative about this internationally renowned band’s activities both past, present and future. The name of Govan Citadel Band is synonymous with high standards of Salvationism, deportment and music-making.
The Band was formed in 1882 and since that time, men and women from all walks of life have come into contact with the gospel message through the Band’s ministry in music.
The Band has campaigned in Canada, the USA, Denmark and also in the Netherlands on three occasions. In October 2000, the Band returned to Canada to undertake a 12-day tour.
