There are no qualifications required to join. We are open to anyone from 16 years of age onwards.
The actual meeting starts at 1:45pm. Come in and talk in confidence to the Home League Secretary who is always ready to listen. We start the meeting with a cup of tea and a biscuit and lots of chatter. The ladies are a very friendly group and are always pleased to welcome new members.
As we are part of a Christian church our activities and programmes are based on the following fourfold aims – Worship, Education, Fellowship and Service to others. Our meetings are very happy gatherings. We believe Proverbs 17:22 which states "A merry heart doeth good, like medicine". We have various speakers who come and talk to us on different topics, such as their travels or their work or a passage of scripture.
We share household hints, recipes and money saving ideas. The local churches send invitations to their women’s rallies each year; this gives us opportunity to meet with other like-minded women. We go on an outing each year to a seaside resort or a place of interest. Each member’s birthday is recognised.
The function of the Home League is expressed in its motto and symbolised by its badge.
The motto is: - She looketh well to the ways of her household – Proverbs 31:27.
